Without ”HOPE” you are defenseless
We all know that Parkinson’s is a degenerative disease; progressive and will impair motor skills, speech and other physical functions.
The thing to do is to stay active and not get negative thoughts running through your head. When a person is positive, it is easier for him or her to fight Parkinson’s, because if you get down in the dumps with it, you’re going to get depressed and it will consume every waking moment.
No matter what stage of the disease individuals are at, you must maintain a positive attitude and the mental fortitude to challenge every Parkinson’s symptom.
For me, the downhill slide has ended; my life has turned around 180 degrees.
I have turned back the clock on PD, gaining back my mobility; I now have the ability to exercise and stay active, but most importantly I have gained what I need most – “HOPE”.
Contact me lee@leebender.org and I will arrange to speak at your Support Meeting, Senior Residence, Park District, Senior Center or Function.
